At GARAGEATHLETE, we believe in building the “engine first,” and we do this primarily through the use of structured programs on the Concept2 ergs.
This program is specifically designed to help an athlete improve on the Concept2 middle distance Ergathlon multi-erg event, which is one of four ranked Ergathlon distances available on the Concept2 logbook.
This program assumes that you have some prior experience using each of the three Concept2 ergs, and that you utilize one (or all) of them during your training week.
This program can be used as the bulk of your weekly conditioning, or it can be used complimentary to your current erg-specific training routine. For example, you could complete the four programmed sessions as well as one or two single erg training sessions (that is up to you).
The four training sessions should be completed in the order listed.
