You have to be Crazy In Love to erg 42,195 meters! You have to be Crazy In Love to erg 42,195 meters! For those who want to test the depth of their devotion to indoor rowing and race against others while doing it, we have a virtual event for you!

Entry Fee Options:

• Full Entry $25 – All race merch and media
• Speed Pass Entry $15 – Race access only

Entry fees are the same for US and International racers and include shipping and handling.

Racing live via the ErgZone app:

The 42,195 meters will be broken into 4000m intervals without any scheduled rest in between, but YOU MAY REST!

If you want to take a break, stand up, hydrate and stretch, go to the bathroom, etc., simply put your handle in the cradle and leave your phone connected to your monitor. If your phone is connected to the event via ErgZone, it will not time out. It doesn’t matter when you take a break or for how long. If you need to hit the bathroom at 22,315 meters, get up and go! Just don’t take your phone with you. Leave your phone connected to the event exactly where it is.

Once you stop rowing, your flywheel will spin down to a stop, but the elapsed time will continue as you take your break. When you return, sit down and start rowing.

Not So In Love Erg Marathon

For those of us who know we aren't in love. This option breaks up the 42,195 meters into ten 4K intervals and one 2,195 m interval. Rowers who select this marathon option have four days to complete the distance. Once you row your first 4K, your 4-day countdown begins.

Choose this option if you don't want your phone attached to your monitor all day, know you will be taking extended breaks, and don't care about being ranked in the Concept2 logbook.

• Rowers will receive a Crazy In Love can coolie and race decal when finished with the marathon.

Love Rating Categories:

• 2.45 hrs or less = OBSESSED
• 3 hrs = SERIOUS
• 4 hrs = WILD
• 5 hrs = FLIRTING
• 6 hrs = CRUSH
• 7 hrs = FRIENDS
• 8-24 hrs = BLAH

Full-entry racers will receive

• Official Crazy In Love UV-protected race decal
• Social media share image with their category lit up on the erg love testing machine

Speed Pass Racers will get access to the race but no merch or media.

RACE Start time is 8 am CDT

RACERS IN OTHER TIME ZONES have the entire month of May to submit their times on Ergzone. The deadline to submit scores for the Crazy In Love Erg Marathon–RACE and Heaven Help Us Half Marathon–RACE is May 31, 2026. This allows you to complete both the half and full marathon distances any time within the month if you are a distance warrior.

COMPETING ON AN OLDER MODEL ERG? You can still compete if your erg doesn't have a PM5 monitor. You won't be able to connect to live racing on ErgZone, but once you manually submit your score on the ErgZone app, it will count in our official results and rankings.

There will be no refunds. Please know this upfront. We count on your entry fee to support this event and all its associated costs.
